Alliance Week
What is Alliance Week?
Alliance Day is an annual event organised by the Australian Powerlifting Alliance to celebrate the unity within the powerlifting community. It strengthens connections between gyms, lifters, and volunteers nationwide.
For 2025, APA’s "Alliance Week" will feature a deadlift-only competition with a charitable focus—raising funds to support APA international teams attending the 2025 World Championship Series.
Event Dates
- May 3-4, 2025 – Outpost Gym Competitions
- MegaNats Competitors: May 7-10, 2025
Event Locations:
- One to two gyms per state designated as "Outpost Gyms" will host competitions.
- MegaNats competitors can also participate by adding their final deadlift to the Alliance Day competition.
- Eligibility: Open to all APA members, including novices, volunteers, referees and coach only memberships
Fundraising Initiative:
Competitors are encouraged to fundraise:
- Securing sponsors who donate $1 per kilo lifted
- Contributing one-off donations to the APA fundraising page (tax-deductible)
APA will allocate funds to cover competition awards, then all remaining proceeds will go to our international teams.
