As per its namesake, the Australian Powerlifting Alliance aims to form an alliance between its members and the federation itself, but also an alliance between gyms, lifters and volunteers. Alliance Day is a celebration of these sentiments, through doing what we do best - heavy lifting!

Four gyms (Iron Jungle, TAS; Adonis Athletics Campbelltown, NSW; PerforMotion, QLD) will come together and hold a competition on the same day - May the 4th - and be a part of this Alliance Day event. And in honour of true Star Wars homage, May the Force be with you! There will be one best male and best female lifter, determined after the results have been collated between all events. Standard Local Competition standards still apply, and medals will be awarded for each weight class at the individual gyms. Who will end up on top?
