Spooky Showdown is a Halloween inspired event that looks to be the stepping stone for many who wish to qualify for the 2026 National Championship Series! This is a great event for the beginner to intermediate lifter who are looking to achieve their respective qualifying totals.

Competition Details

All APA competitions are bound by IPF rules; be sure to familiarise yourself with the rules of competition and approved equipment list ahead of competition day.

If you are under 18 years of age, a parent/legal guardian/temporary guardian must be present on the day. If not, you will be unable to compete. More information can be found on the APA website.

Preliminary competition schedule

This competition will have two sessions across two days.

DAY 1

Session 1 (9am to 2pm)

• Lifting will begin at 9am
• Weigh-in will begin at 7am

Session 2 (2:30pm to 7:30pm)

• Lifting will begin at 2:30pm
• Weigh-in will begin at 12:30pm

DAY 2

Session 1 (9am to 2pm)

• Lifting will begin at 9am
• Weigh-in will begin at 7am

Session 2 (2:30pm to 7:30pm)

• Lifting will begin at 2:30pm
• Weigh-in will begin at 12:30pm
